Raspberry Pi touchscreen display modules
Our display modules provide a TFT LCD display, a resistive touchscreen
with controller and tactile switches. They are connected over SPI bus
and are besides for the Raspberry Pi therefore also suitable for all
embedded systems with SPI bus. Especially for ones that do not have a
LCD controller or are lacking I/O pins. Our displays only need SPI
pins (MISO, MOSI, SCK, SPICS0 and SPICS1) to work. One SPI channel is
used for displaying images and one for touchscreen. Unlike most serial
displays ours are fast enough to be primary displays and show the same
output as a normal Linux workstation monitor. We provide a standard
Linux framebuffer driver for each of them meaning there is virtually
nothing to learn if one wants to start developing applications that
use our displays. Same tools and techniques as for software
development for Linux workstations can be used. All displays are
supported with fast DMA enabled driver and use SPI compression
technology and up to 64 MHz SPI clock .IPS-PI40 is a 4.0" IPS TFT LCD display module with 320x480 resolution and 16 bit colors. It's refresh rate is around 17 frames per second (FPS). We recommend this display for GUIs where a larger size display is needed. With SPI compression technology and 17 FPS it is fast enough for full screen video previewing even though it is targeted for GUIs.
LCD-PI43 is a 4.3" TFT LCD display module with 480x272resolution and 16 bit colors. It's refresh rate is around 17 fps. We recommend this display for GUIs where a larger size display is needed. 17 fps is enough for previewing full screen video and more than sufficient for GUIs. Also larger size resistive touchscreen feels softer than with smaller models.
LCD-PI50 is a 5.0" TFT LCD display module with 480x272resolution and 16 bit colors. It has same properties the 4.3" model besides that it is a little larger.
LCD-PI32 * is a 3.2" TFT LCD display module with 320x240 resolution and 16 bit colors. It is our smallest and currently most popular model. With refresh rate of 25 fps it is fast enough for GUIs that require animations and can even display video. This module is discontinued and replaced with 4DPi-32 from 4D Systems.
LCD-PI33 * is a 3.3" TFT LCD display module with 320x480 resolution and 16 bit colors. Our supplier sells the LCD panel as a 3.5" panel (and we put LCD-PI35 tittle on our first series of these modules) but in reality this is a little wider 3.2" panel. It has double resolution compared to LCD-PI32 and a better backlight. Because of higher resolution the fps is around 17. This module is discontinued and replaced with 4DPi-35 from 4D Systems.
